ViX+, the premium tier Spanish-language streaming platform from TelevisaUnivision, launches today (July 21) in the US, Mexico and Spanish-speaking Latin America.

The platform kicks off with more than 10,000 hours of film, TV and sport, offering more than 70 original series and films in the first year, and will carry live football league and tournament games including Champions League.

Monthly costs are $6.99 in the US and MX$119 (around USD $5.79 at today’s exchange rate) in Mexico. Registered users of ViX, the AVoD tier which launched in March, will have access to select episodes of new ViX+ Originals and can subscribe via the app. ViX+ is also available on connected TV platforms and digital subscription platforms.

The feature slate includes comedy Mirreyes Contra Godinez 2, El Retiro, sequel to the 2019 theatrical release, and rom-com Enfermo Amor premiering on July 27. Coming in August are animation Leyendas El Origen, Las Vocales and comedy Me Casé Con Un Idiota.

Among the TV line-up are Mexican icon biographical series María Felix, La Doña, drama La Mujer del Diablo, and docuseries Mi Vecino El Cartel on which Selena Gomez serves as executive producer.

Subscribers will be able to watch prime time Univision shows 72 hours after they air on the channel, while in Mexico they can watch selected shows from Las Estrellas channel on the same day. In Mexico and Latin America members can view live TV channels including Distrito Comedia, while Mexico subscribers will additionally get Las Estrellas, Canal 5, TUDN, and Nu9ve.
