Sundance Institute has unveiled participants for its Producers Lab taking place July 25–28 and Producers Summit running July 29–31. Both events take place in person at Utah’s Sundance Mountain Resort.

The six fiction film producers and their projects under the auspices of the Producers Lab are: The Rotting Of Casey Culpepper (USA,

producing fellow Apoorva Guru Charan); The President’s Cake (Iraq-USA, producing fellow and Mark Silverman honouree Leah Chen Baker); Starfuckers (USA, Eli Raskin); Sales Per Hour (USA, Chloe Sabin); and Huella (USA-Dominican Republic, Helena Sardinha and Doménica Castro).

The five documentary film producers and projects are: Untitled Dwarfism Project (USA, producing fellow: Lindsey Dryden); Untitled Sura Mallouh Project (USA, Yoni Golijov); Untitled Baltimore Project (USA, Dawne Langford); Bartolo (USA, Neyda Martinez); and Queendom (USA-France, Igor Myakotin).

Producers and projects participating in the Producers Summit include: Jade Jackson with Losa; Lauren Lopez de Victoria with Forward; Fox Maxy with Water Tight; Albert Tholen and Aiko Masubuchi with Earthquake; and Séverine Tibi with Birthday.

Non-fiction participants are: Jude Chehab with Q; Amber Espinosa-Jones with Standing Above The Clouds; Jamie Gonçalves with The Monster And The Storm; Maliyamungu Muhande with Nine Days A Week; Julia Solomonoff with The Illusion Of An Everlasting Summer; and Jacob Thomas with Deep Taxonomy Documentary Project.

The Producers Program supports current and rising producers through year-round mentorship, granting, educational resources, strategic introductions and networking opportunities.

The Summit convenes emerging and mid-career fiction and nonfiction producers with financiers, sales reps, talent agents, and independent and includes panels, roundtables, one-on-one meetings, and a keynote address by interdisciplinary artist and activist Glenn Kaino.

This year’s industry participants are WME Independent co-head and sales agent Alex Walton, Emilie Georges of Paradise City Films, producer and sales agents John Sloss of Cinetic Media, Anna Godas of Dogwoof, sales agent and producer Josh Braun of Submarine, Dylan Leiner of Sony Pictures Classics, Kevin Iwashina of Endeavor Content, sales agent Jessica Lacy, publicist David Magdael, Scott Shooman of IFC Films and Lisa Nishimura from Netflix.
