EXCLUSIVE: London-based documentary specialist Dogwoof has promoted Katie Bench to head of sales, ahead of this year’s Cannes market.
Bench has been with the company for the past four years as sales manager and will now lead the sales team and drive overall sales strategy, as well as oversee festival strategy across the company’s slate. She will also work closely with Dogwoof’s production and development teams, reflecting the company’s increasingly integrated approach across sales and production.
Bench takes over from Cleo Veger, who has recently relocated to the Netherlands. Veger will continue to work with Dogwoof as a sales and acquisitions consultant.
Ellie Herdman, who joined the team as sales executive in 2024, is taking on expanded responsibility across several international territories.
Dogwoof’s sales slate includes Orlando von Einsiedel’s The Cycle Of Love and Alex Gibney’s Knife: The Attempted Murder Of Salman Rushdie.
Dogwoof CEO Anna Godas said: “Over the past four years at Dogwoof, Katie has proven herself not only as an excellent sales executive, but also as a highly accomplished manager and a fantastic team player. I’m thrilled to see her step into this role and lead our sales division into its next phase.”
