Open City Documentary Festival, the London-based documentary event, is launching Assembly, a development lab for creative documentary makers to take place later this year.
Six UK and international directors will be chosen to attend a four-day programme featuring talks, workshops and one-to-one mentoring from August 31 – September 3 2019
Following a closed pitch, one of the six projects will be awarded £10,000 in development funding.
The lab is for filmmakers working on their first or second feature, which is in development and not yet completed production.
Applications are now open until May 3, 2019. The lab will cover travel and accommodation costs for the six selected filmmakers, as well as festival accreditation for the event. Further information is available on the Open City Docs website.
Open City Documentary Festival 2019 runs at locations across central London from September 4 – 10.
