Alex Ogilvie has been namedvice president of business development, Europe, at Warner Bros InternationalTelevision Distribution (WBITD).

Ogilvie will focus on allnew business opportunities for WBITD, develop the division's pay televisiondeals and oversee development of video-on-demand and other television modelsacross Europe.

In addition, he will workwith all of WBITD's European sales executives on various special projects.

Based in London, he willreport to Simon Kenny, WBITD's senior vice president of sales and businessdevelopment and managing director, Europe.

"Alex brings to Warner BrosInternational Television a great expertise in business and finance as well as akeen understanding of channel development, output deals and emergingtechnologies," Kenny said in a statement.

"We are pleased that he willbe joining our team and are certain that he will become an integral member ofour company."

Ogilvie previously servedwith MTV Europe, most recently as commercial director of MTV Northern Europewhere he launched several localised MTV channels including MTV, VH1 andNickelodeon.

Prior to that he worked forfive years as finance director for Paramount Pictures in Europe.
