The sixth edition of the Glasgow Film Festival will open with Jean Pierre Jeunet’s revenge comedy Micmacs on February 18.

The festival will also host UK premieres of Drew Barrymore’s Whip It, Peter Callahan’s Against The Current and  Luca Guadagnino’s I Am Lovestarring Tilda Swinton, among others.

The closing film will be the world premiere of Thomas Ikim’spsychological thriller Legacy, starring Idris Elba and produced by Glasgow-based company Black Camel Pictures.

Guests due to attend include James Earl Jones, Peter Mullan, Kevin Macdonald, Kirk Jones and Julian Fellowes.

Other highlights will include a Cary Grant retrospective and a focus on Japanese cinema.

The festival, funded by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Scottish Screen and the Glasgow Film Theatre, will run from February 18 – 28.
