Toronto-basedPeace Arch Entertainment Group has launched genre division Archetype Films andis introducing five titles already in production.

The slate isheaded by Warrior Of Terra starring Edward Furlong, Ellen Fury and Andrew Lui, in the storyof a team of animal rights activists who discover a bio-engineered monster.

Archetype isalso in production on The Last Sect starring David Carradine as a descendant of Van Helsing who huntsdown a coven of vampires and The Veteran, about a Vietnam soldier who is forced by an old comrade torelive the bloody battles of his past and stars Ally Sheedy, Michael Ironsideand Bobby Hosea.

Rounding out theslate are Heartstopper,which stars Robert Englund and Meredith Henderson and centres on two teenagerstrapped in a dilapidated hospital with a homicidal lunatic, and 5ive Girls, which is out to casting and tells of agroup of wayward teenagers who use supernatural powers to battle an ancientdemon.

Peace Arch'sCharlie Bloye heads up the new division's international sales operation inLondon, with Paul Davis-Miller handles US sales from the company's offices inLos Angeles.

The companyrecently announced its first two titles for worldwide theatrical markets: theJohn Lennon assassination drama Chapter 27 starring Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan; and Delirious, which stars Steve Buscemi, Michael Pittand Alison Lohman.
