Producers Michael Cowan and Jason Piette are launching a UK distribution and international film and TV sales company called Stealth Media Group.

Cowan and Piette, from Brighton-based Spice Factory, are working with Sean O’Kelly, from Go For It Entertainment, and it will focus on the 3D market and emerging digital and VoD platforms.

Kelly and Cowan, who will be the company’s joint chief executive, are in Cannes to introduce their upcoming new releases as well as international library film titles. They will be joined by Piette in his role as USA director of acquisitions and business development.

The company, which has offices in the UK and Los Angeles, is aiming to buy over 25 new titles per year for UK distribution as well as over 150 library titles.

Stealth’s first acquisitions include the two new animated features Garfield’s Fun Fest and Garfield’s Pet Force 3-D from the animated franchise. Both titles will have their theatrical release at the end of the summer. The slate also includes Bottoms Up, starring Paris Hilton.

The company has also lined up Bigga Than Ben, starring Ben Barnes, and Stone Of Destiny starring Robert Carlyle and Billy Boyd for international sales.

Stealth are in Cannes primarily to look for films titles for UK distribution but will also be considering films for TV and DVD sales internationally.
