LLeju Productions will finance and produce the dark comedy and has scheduled a May start in Louisiana.

The Baytown Disco follows three redneck brothers who land themselves in hot water when they help a woman rescue her son from a seemingly abusive father.

Barry Battles makes his feature directorial debut from a script he wrote with Griffin Hood. Robert Teitel and George Tillman are producing through their State Street Pictures label alongside LLeju Productions.

“We found Barry and Griffin’s script to be edgy, fun and entertaining, which is synonymous with the LLeju brand,” Lleju head Bill Perkins said. “This is the ideal project for us to partner with Bob and George.”

Lleju’s Cat Run will open theatrically in the US and is being sold in Berlin by Lightning Entertainment.
