Principal photography is scheduled to start in New York today [9] on Company Films’ Generation Um… starring Keanu Reeves, which Nicolas Chartier’s Voltage Pictures is introducing to buyers in Toronto.

Bojana Novakovic (Edge Of Darkness, the upcoming Devil), and Adelaide Clemens (Wasted On The Young) have also joined the project. Chartier, in Toronto with festival entry The Whistleblower starring Rachel Weisz, serves as executive producer.

Generation Um… follows a day in the life of John and his two beautiful cohorts as they live life on the fringe, immersed in sex, drugs and indecision. As they navigate their daily routine of bars, crowds and New York City living, they embark on a path of self-discovery.

Mark L Mann will direct from his screenplay. Alison Palmer developed the script with Mann and will produce. She recently served as co-executive producer on Company Films’ Henry’s Crime starring Reeves, which Parlay Films sold overseas and gets its world premiere in Toronto.

Lemore Syvan (Henry’s Crime) and Caroline Kaplan will also produce, while Chartier’s co-executive producer is Jared Goldman.
