New additions to Screen’s European Film Index include Jorge Torregrossa’s Fin and Etienne Chatiliez’s L’Oncle Charles.

A group of old friends who meet up after years of not seeing each other to stay in a mountain refuge is at the heart of Jorge Torregrossa’s thriller Fin. Based on the homonymous novel by David Monteagudo and co-scripted by Jorge Guerricaechevarria and Sergio G Sanchez, the project will start shooting this month starring Maribel Verdú, Clara Lago, Blanca Romero and Carmen Ruiz.  Fernando Bovaira, Enrique Lopez-Lavigne and Mercedes Gamero are producing for Mod Producciones, Apaches Entertainment and Antena 3 Films respectively. Principal photography is scheduled to last until October.

Etienne Chatiliez is currently shooting his latest feature L’Oncle Charles about a rugby tycoon who has made a fortune in New Zealand and returns to his native France in search of potential heirs. The film stars Eddy Mitchell, Alexandra Lamy and Valérie Bonneton among others. Chatiliez co-wrote the screenplay with Florence Quentin and Les Productions Du Ch’timi has taken on production duties. Pathé handles both international sales and French distribution.
