Ridley Scott, in Venice at the weekend for the special screening of Blade Runner: The Final Cut, has revealed further details of his new Warner Bros film, Body Of Lies, which starts shooting on Wednesday.

'We are working fast. We are working to get ahead of the strike,' Scott said of the decision to get the film, which stars Leonardo Di Caprio and Russell Crowe, into production so soon after the completion of Scott's last film, American Gangster.

Scott bills Body Of Lies as 'a film about religion and politics. It takes place in Jordan and Baghdad.' The film, about the hunt for an Al Qeada leader, is adapted from the book by journalist David Ignatius. Scott has raised the possibility that the film will be released under the title Penetration, which was what Ignatius has originally planned to call his book.
