On the eve of the European Film Market, Paris-based sales outfit Roissy Films has announced two new acquisitions, both of features from long-established auteurs.

Roissy is to represent Amos Gitai's One Day You'll Understand (Plus tard tu
comprendras), based on the book by Jerôme Clement. The film, starring French acting legend Jeanne Moreau, receives its world premiere in the Berlinale
Special sidebar.

Also new on Roissy's EFM slate is Les Plages d'Agnès, the latest film from Agnes Varda. Now in post-production, the film should be ready in time for Cannes. Described as 'docu-fiction,' and containing strong autobiographical elements, Les Plages features Varda and her children Matthieu Demy and Rosalie Varda.

In the film, Varda returns to beaches which have been a part of her life.

Here at the EFM, Roissy will be screening a promo reel of Story Of Jen starring Marina Hands, Seraphine starring Yolande Moreau and Ulrich Tukur, and some footage of Marco Amenta's The Sicilian Girl, based on the true story of the first women who broke the law of silence and testified against the Mafia. All three projects are expected to be ready for Cannes.
