Showroom and Workstation are moving ahead with plans for a new Festival Centre in Sheffield, UK.

London-based architectural studio Carmody Groarke will design the centre. The firm previously worked on a new film studio in Australia, the refurbishment of the Electric Ballroom in London and Antony Gormley's Light Pavilion.

The new centre will be home to Sheffield Doc/Fest and Showcomotion and will also have flexible programming capabilities.

Facilities will include cinema auditoriums, new offices, a cafe and flexible space.
