Son Of The Bride (El Hijo De La Novia) swept the board at Argentina's Oscar equivalent, the Premios Condor this week.

A Best Foreign Oscar nominee this year, Juan Jose Campanella's romantic comedy won eight out of its 12 nominations, including top awards for Best Picture, director (Campanella), actor (Ricardo Darin), new actress (Claudia Fontan), supporting actress (Norma Aleandro) and supporting actor (Eduardo Blanco).

This is Darin's third Best Actor Condor in three consecutive years. Lucrecia Martel's Berlin 2001 winner La Cienaga took home three awards: a Best actress nod for veteran thespian Graciela Borges, best debut film and best cinematography for DoP Hugo Colace. Prison dramas La Fuga and Rosarigasinos won two awards each.
