Starsky & Hutch claimed the number one spot inits second weekend in the UK on an estimated $8.2m from 429 screens followingwide expansion through Buena Vista International (BVI).

The 1970s television adaptation opened on platform releaselast weekend and has taken $8.6m in the early stages of its international run.It opens in Germany later this week.

Elsewhere, the distributor reported that Hidalgogrossed $2.6m at the weekend for a $6.6m international running total.

The highlight was $1.5m and a 5% drop in its second weekendin Spain, where BVI is believed to have clinched first place ahead of PedroAlmodovar's Bad Education (Mala Educacion), releasedthrough Warner Bros Pictures International. The Spanish running total wasunavailable at time of writing.
