Fandango Portobello has followed its successful sales of Competition title Quiet Chaos (Caos Calmo) with a round of deals on Matteo Garrone's Gomorra, which is now in post-production for Fandango and Rai Cinema (Fandango's Domenico Procacci is producing).

Gomorra has gone to France (Le Pacte), Switzerland (Filmcoopi), Canada (Seville) and Benelux (ABC). In Italy, 01 will handle distribution. The film will be ready in late spring.

Based on the book of the same name by Roberto Sabiano, the story is set in the world of the Naples mafia. The ensemble cast includes Toni Servillo (The Consequences of Love) and Gianfelice Imparato.

'Quite a few distributors are aware of the book, so that's really starting to capture a lot of attention as well. And Matteo has a lot of distributors who admire his work,' said Fandango Portobello head of sales Janine Gold.
