Based on figures to the end of October, German admissions and ticketsales are facing a decline in 2008. Admissions stand at 87.7 million toOctober 31 compared with 125.4 million for the whole of 2007, while thetotal box-office gross to October 31 was $687.1m (EUR544.4m) comparedwith $968.2m (EUR767m) for the whole of last year.

The highest grossingfilm of the year is Warner Bros Germany's local comedy Rabbit Without Ears with $40.4m (EUR32m), but Quantum Of Solace is coming up fast, having grossed $35.2m (EUR27.9m) since it opened in Germany on November 6.
