Marvel Studios’ superhero mash-up added $43.3m on Tuesday through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International.

It has already passed the $192m final international tally of Captain America and will overtake by the end of Wednesday (May 2) the final $268.3m gross of Thor and the $266.8m set by Iron Man. It will surpass Iron Man 2’s $311.5m by the weekend.

The film took advantage of the May 1 public holidays outside North America and now stands at $260.5m.

The Avengers opened in Thailand on May 1 on $2.4m for the biggest industry opening day and the biggest single day in history.  

It also launched in Singapore on $1.8m and scored the same two records.
