London based visual effects outfit is to add a Soho studio to its existing Twickenham base.

The addition, which will coincide with the company’s tenth anniversary, is part of The Senate’s drive to add efficiency and convenience for clients.

The Senate began as an independent group of artists working on the television series Band of Brothers.

The Senate’s creative team is led by visual effects supervisors Richard Higham and Anton Yri, and visual effects producer Paula Pope.

Higham’s credits with the company include Angels & Demons, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and The Bourne Ultimatum. Since joining Senate in 2005 among other productions Yri has worked on Kick-Ass, Fast & Furious and Batman Begins. The pair are currently working on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Sarah Hemsley, CEO of The Senate, said: “What started out as a temporary group of artists working together on a single project has evolved into a thriving and deeply committed staff of digital experts.”
