UK-based sales company The Works International has taken on rights for Good Dick, which premiered at Sundance.

Glasgow-born Marianna Palka directed, produced and stars in the Los Angeles-set film, about an awkward romance between a porn-addicted loner and a video-store clerk. The cast also features Jason Ritter, Eric Edelstein, Mark Webber, Martin Starr, Tom Arnold and Charles Durning. It will screen in Cannes Market as a European and market premiere.

Palka previously made the documentary short By My Very Self and feature documentary For My American Friends. She has also directed theatre. Producers for Good Dick, a Morning Knight and Present Pictures presentation, are Palka with Jennifer Dubin, Cora Olson, and Jason Ritter.

The Works International's Cannes Market slate also includes Kenny Glenaan's hotly anticipated feature debut Summer, Ben Hopkins' The Market and Sarah Watt's My Year Without Sex.
