Spanishsales consortium Latido has sold US rights to Miguel Bardem's Swindled(Incautos) to TLA Releasing.

StarringVictoria Abril, the classy con-artist tale was one of five pictures Latidopicked up in December from Spanish production company Alquimia Cinema. Itco-stars Argentinean veteran Federico Luppi and Spaniard Ernesto Alterio.

Latidogeneral manager Massimo Saidel highlighted the film's "high productionvalues, cast, commercial potential and fun" as drawing buyer interest inBerlin, where Swindled also sold to France's SND, Russia's Soyuz andIsrael's Gilad.

Latidoalso sold Australian/New Zealand rights for Chilean box office hit and Oscarcandidate Machuca to Madman Entertainment and is near to sealing aGerman distributor for Patricia Ferreira's title Something To Remember Me By(Para Que No Me Olvides).

TLAhas become a consistent outlet in the US for Spanish films including pick-upslike Berlin 2004 screener Bear Cub (Cachorro) and Berlin 2003 title TheBulgarian Lovers (Los Novios Bulgaros). It recently acquired DVD/VHS rightsin the US on La Promesa, starring Carmen Maura.
