Tribeca Film Institute has announced the winners of the TFI Latin America Media Arts Fund and the first-ever winner of the Heineken Voces grant in combined awards amounting to $60,000.
The four winning films of the TFI Latin America Media Arts Fund are:
City Of The Caesars, dir. Francisco Herve (Chile);
When The Dead Are Drier (Cuando Los Muertos Estan Mas Secos), dir. Claudio Araya Silva, (Bolivia);
Elena, dir. Ana Petra Costa, (Brazil); and
The Shark’s Eye, dir. Alejo Hoijman, (Argentina).
Cristina Ibarra’s Las Marthas won the Heineken Voces documentary award and Diego Araujo’s Holiday (Feriado) won the narrative award.
