Two films competing in theofficial section of the Spanish Film Festival of Malaga (April 22-30) havefound international sales agents on the eve of the event: Sogepaq has picked upRamon Salazar's 20 Centimeterswhile Grupo Pi will handle romantic comedy Semen, A Love Sample.

International buyers willget a first look at Semen duringMalaga's three-day Market Screenings (April 24-26). 20 Centimeters will not screen in the Market; Sogepaq willpresent it as part of its line-up in Cannes.

From the writing-directingpair behind My Mother Likes Women,which Grupo Pi has sold in more than 30 territories, Semen (Semen, UnaHistoria De Amor) stars Argentineanlegend Hector Alterio against his son Ernesto in a tale of love springing froma mix-up at an insemination clinic.

Salazar's follow-up to hisdebut feature Stones (Piedras), which premiered in Berlin in 2002, 20Centimeters is an ambitious musicalcomedy about a man who dreams up fabulous musical numbers during fits ofnarcolepsy in which he becomes the woman he has always wanted to be.

20 Centimeters is the first feature from new Madrid-based MonfortProducciones, in co-production with Jet Films, Telecinco's Estudios Picasso andFrance's Divine Productions. Sogepaq sister company Warner Sogefilms willrelease the film in Spain on June 10.

Semen was produced by Cesar Benitez's BocaBoca. Grupo Piis also handling international sales on Malaga opening film Ants In TheMouth (Hormigas En La Boca),director Mariano Barroso's Cuba-set thriller.
