Paris-based UMedia has picked up sales on The Harimaya Bridge starring Danny Glover, Ben Guillory and Misa Shimizu.

Filming will begin on June 3 in Kochi, Japan, and San Francisco on the story of a man who travels to Japan to collect the belongings of his estranged son who has been killed in a road accident. Ko Mori of Eleven Arts is producing.

Glover was in town on Friday to introduce a market screening of Namibia: The Struggle For Liberation, in which he stars as an influential religious figure in the life of the African nation's president Samuel Nujoma played by Carl Lumbly.
