Overture will have access to Vantage's newly installed international sales division as well as PPI's global distribution apparatus.
The new deal complements the domestic organisation that Overture chief executive officer Chris McGurk and chief operating officer Danny Rosett have assembled at the recently minted Beverly Hills-based company.
It remained unclear which of the first three films on Overture's declared annual slate of eight to 12 titles - Ferris Wheel, 105 Degrees And Rising, and Mad Money - would be the first to roll out overseas.
'Our goal has been to aggressively expand our international operations,' Paramount Vantage co-president Nick Meyer said. 'A partnership with a great company like Overture, helps us to grow our business at a faster rate with terrific product. We look forward to working with Chris, Danny, Peter and the entire Overture team.'
'This is the final piece of our worldwide distribution strategy - we have a partner that allows us to access full service international capability,' Rosett said. 'Nick has assembled a first-rate sales division and we also have the ability to distribute directly through PPI.'
'I have the utmost respect for Peter Adee and we look forward to collaborating with his marketing and distribution teams,' PPI president Cripps added.
'Having worked with Andrew Cripps for many years, I know that there is no better executive to be handling Overture films in the international theatrical market,' president of worldwide marketing, distribution and new media Peter Adee said.
