Highly respected 20-year New Line veteran Camela Galano has been confirmed as president of New Line International Releasing after the studio's international sales operation was closed down by Warner Bros recently.

Galano will continue to oversee and manage the release of New Line films in more than 120 territories for Warner Bros Pictures International (WBPI) and reports directly to Richard Fox, the executive vice president of international at Warner Bros.

Galano will also oversee all international matters relating to film, home video and television distribution for New Line's slate of films and will work closely with WBPI executives to pursue new film ventures.

Working alongside her will be a streamlined team of executives from New Line International Releasing that includes senior vice president of international affairs Elena Cahalan, senior vice president of international marketing and distribution Rob Remley, and vice president of international servicing Tracy McCrory.

Galano has served in various capacities at New Line, primarily in international sales and marketing, in New York, London and Los Angeles. In 2001 she was named president of New Line International Releasing.
