Los Angeles-based public relations executive Susie Dobson has been elected president and chief executive officer of the board of directors of Australians In Film, the organisation for expatriate Australians in the US entertainment industry.

Producer/business affairs consultant Paula Paizes has been elected the organisation's vice president, and manager/producer Rob Marsala secretary/chairman of the board. Terms are for two years effective July 1, 2007.

Dobson is president of Susie Dobson Global PR, a lifestyle public relations agency.

With over 500 members, six-year-old Los Angeles-based Australians In Film aims to foster a relationship between Australians and Americans through Australian screen culture.

The board of directors is comprised of Jenny Cooney-Carrillo, journalist and member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Michelle Day, photographer; Michelle Gysberts, partnership director, Tourism Australia, Rob Marsala, owner/manager/producer Marsala Management, Andrew Warne, entertainment reporter and Kym Wilson, actress/entrepreneur.
