ContentFilm picks up horror sequel Outpost II

ContentFilm International, the UK and US based sales outfit, has acquired worldwide sales rights to Outpost II:Black Sun.

Steve Barker will return to direct the production which is set to shoot in autumn. Barker co-wrote the script with Rae Brunton.

The sequel to Outpost, Nazi zombie action horror movie, picks up the story in 1945 during the closing stages of World War 2.  It follows a German scientist who is working on a frightening new technology; the power to create an immortal Nazi army. 

The film is being produced by Arabella Croft and Kieran Parker for Black Camel. The cast has yet to be announced.

ContentFilm is executive producer and is selling the film in Cannes. Its slate also includes Jonathan English’s Ironclad, Jon Cassar’s The Technician and When You’re Strange from director Tom DiCillo.

  • KUDOS! I have watched Outpost at least 5 times (to me it's addictive). It's an excellent film. Black Camel and the other production companies deserve a lot of credit. The cast/writing/directing were superb.

    If Outpost 2 is at least as good as the original you will have a brand that keeps on giving.

  • Can't wait, military realism, atmosphere and exotic content matter gave the film real chutzpah!

    Taken together with Outlander it made 2008 a really memorable year.
    Forgive these films their limited budgets, they have great heart.
