Future Films USA has hired former Fox Searchlight executive Charlotte Koh as its business development executive. Koh will report to Future USA's CEO Simon Horsman.

Future said it would expand further in the coming months with the appointment of a production and development executive.

At Fox Searchlight, Koh was a Creative Executive working in production, development and acquisitions under Claudia Lewis and Peter Rice.

London-based financing and production company Future established its Los Angeles office in late 2006 with the aim of offering US financing and packaging, including cashflowing state tax incentives.

In her new role, Koh will be charged with bringing in new projects, expanding production commitments and forging talent relationships.

At Fox, she worked on films including Napoleon Dynamite, Water, The Last King Of Scotland and Notes On A Scandal.

Prior to working at Fox Searchlight, Koh was an associate at Mercer Management Consulting in San Francisco and London.
