US production and financing company Gold Circle Films and Canada's second-largest distributor, Maple Pictures, have signed a multi-picture, multi-year output deal.

The pact kicks off with Chilled In Miami starring Renee Zellwegger and Harry Connick Jr, and The New Daughter starring Kevin Costner.

The deal was announced by Maple co-presidents Laurie May and Brad Pelman and Gold Circle Films partners Paul Brooks and Scott Niemeyer.

May said: 'Gold Circle's films have established resonance in the marketplace for their consistent box office success, broad audience appeal and unique creative signature. Their upcoming releases will be a perfect complement to our Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions film slates, as well as the numerous motion pictures we acquire at film festivals and markets worldwide.'

'Maple Pictures has achieved tremendous distribution clout in the two years since they were founded, and our films could not be in better hands,' added Gold Circle partner Scott Niemeyer.

Maple's releases include Crash, 3:10 to Yuma and Saw IV and forthcoming projects Starting Out In The Evening and Bill.

Gold Circle's upcoming films include Whisper with Josh Holloway, My Sassy Girl with Elisha Cuthbert, Joel Schumacher's Town Creek, Over My Dead Body with Eva Longoria Parker, and The Haunting In Connecticut with Virginia Madsen.
