Derailed, the English-language debut from the Oscar-nominatedSwede Mikael Hafstrom, is being lined up to shoot in London and New York City,the director told Screendaily.

Dimension Films is backingthe film which is scheduled to start shooting in September with Clive Owen inthe lead role.

"We will be shootinginteriors at a London studio, we just haven't decided which one, and then we'lldo the exteriors on location in New York," Hafstrom said. "We will beable to announce more about the cast later this week."

Derailed is being producedby Lorenzo di Bonaventura; Stuart Beattie (Collateral) wrote the screenplaywhich is an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel. It is the story of amarried advertising executive, whose life careers hopelessly out of controlafter he embarks on an affair. Mark Cooper, currently based at TwickenhamStudios, is the UK co-producer.

Hafstrom was Oscar nominatedfor the Swedish box-office hit Eviland his latest effort, the psychological thriller Drowning Ghost, will be released in Sweden on Oct15.

Clive Owen has had a busyschedule recently, playing the title role in Antoine Fuqua's King Arthur and opposite Jude Law, Natalie Portman and JuliaRoberts in Mike Nichols' Closer.He is currently filming Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez' Sin City and is also lined up to star in Tom Kalin's SavageGrace.
