The recently launched Los Angeles and London-based international sales and distribution company backed by Intermedia will be called IM Global, it was announced last night.

IM Global, headed by president Stuart Ford and Intermedia chairman Martin Schuermann, will bring a number of Intermedia titles, as well as the slate assembled by Ford and his team in their recent First Look International (FLI) incarnation.

Ford said: 'Judging by the level of deal making we're already at two weeks after starting the company, I'm very confident that we'll have some of the strongest commercial titles at the market.'

The roster is headed up by Jan De Bont's thriller Stopping Power, starring John Cusack as a tourist whose daughter is kidnapped by an armed robber; the Untitled Larry Charles Project, a documentary about global religion; and the thriller Killer's Game, whichshoots in Barcelona later this summer.

Ford will also introduce to buyers The Frog King, an Intermedia-GreeneStreet Films co-production set against the cut-throat New York advertising world. Sex And The City creator Darren Star will direct, based on a screenplay by Brett Easton Ellis. Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in what Ford described as a cross between Sex And The City, The Devil Wears Prada and When Harry Met Sally.

Written by Eric Red and Skip Woods, Stopping Power, which goes before the cameras in Berlin this summer,will end with a 51-minute real-time chase.

Ford will screen first footage from the Untitled Larry Charles Project, a documentary about global religion, which is being narrated by US comic Bill Maher.

The slate includes two other former FLI titles - Agnieszka Vosloo's psychological thriller from Constellation Entertainment starring Kate Bosworth; and Jodie Markell's Tennessee Williams adaptation The Loss Of A Teardrop Diamond. Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Evans, Ellen Burstyn, David Strathairn and Ann-Margret round out the key cast.
