Jim Fredrick has joined Screen Gems as executive vice president of marketing, effective immediately.

Fredrick replaces Marc Weinstock, who has transitioned to co-president of worldwide marketing for the studio.

Reporting to Sony's worldwide marketing and distribution chairman Jeff Blake, Fredrick will get to work on campaigns for such 2009 Screen Gems titles as Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans, Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles and Fired Up.

Fredrick arrives from Warner Bros, where he served as senior vice president of creative advertising. Prior to Warner Bros he was president of marketing for Castle Rock Entertainment.
