Ahead of next week’s launch the BFI London Film Festival has added three new titles to its lineup.
They are Michael Winterbottom’s The Trip, premiering Oct 27; Michael Epstein’s LENNONYC also premiering Oct 27; and Athina Rachel Tsangari’s Attenberg will premiere on Oct 23.
Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play “loose versions of themselves” in The Trip, which is about a road trip to visit notable restaurants. This is the feature version of a planned BBC series. It had its world premiere in Toronto.
LENNONYC is a documentary about John Lennon and Yoko Ono making their home in America.
Attenberg, a prize winner in Venice that later screened in Toronto, is about a disaffected young Greek woman who is dealing with her father’s illness and a promiscuous best friend.
Earlier this week, LFF also added Sofia Coppola’s Venice winner Somewhere.
