Since receiving an emotional standing ovation in Venice, Philippe Aractingi's Under The Bombs has sealed two distribution deals just as Toronto gets underway.

Memento Films, which is handling world rights to the film, has sold it to the UK's Channel 4 and Italy's Fandango. Memento's Tanja Meissner says she is also in negotiations on several other territories.

Bombs is Aractingi's second film and traces the story of a Shiite woman and a Christian taxi driver who search for the woman's missing son in southern Lebanon. It ran in the Venice Days section of the festival this week.

Producers are Production Capa Cinema, Starfield Productions, Art'Mell, Fantascope Production, in association with Rhamsa Productions, with the participation of ARTE France.
