Fred Milstein has been named managing director of worldwide marketing and business development at Aon/Albert G Ruben Insurance Services.

Prior to joining the company, Milstein was president and a founder of cineFinance, the international completion guarantee company that announced in April it would cease to close new completion bonds in response to the economic downturn.

cineFinance underwrote John Woo’s $70m epic drama Red Cliff among many others and issued bonds on numerous Australian films.

Milstein also held executive positions at the Completion Bond Company, Miramax and William Morris.

Aon entertainment practice CEO Joe Addison pointed to his “tremendous experience in all aspects of motion picture packaging, financing and production, including film completion guarantees and insurance.”
