Disney has realigned its North American public relations department and announced that Joe Quenqua and Julie Fontaine will coordinate the domestic media strategy for all titles.

The pair will manage campaigns with New York and Los Angeles-based broadcast, print and online publicists and will report to senior vice-president of global publicity Michelle Sewell.

In his new role as vice-president of publicity Quenqua will oversee the New York office for The Walt Disney Studios and Disney Theatrical Group, managing the local public relations teams for these divisions. He most recently served as vice -of worldwide publicity and communications for Disney Theatrical Group under Thomas Schumacher.

In her West Coast-based role as vice-president of domestic publicity, Fontaine will be responsible for domestic publicity, film festival and awards campaigns. She joined Disney’s Los Angeles operations in 2009.

Quenqua and Fontaine will partner with the current global project vice-presidents Ryan Stankevich (Disney Live Action) and Olivier Mouroux (Disney/Pixar Animation), responsible for the studio’s strategic global PR campaigns.

Later this month, Stephanie Kluft will join the Disney PR team as global vice-president overseeing DreamWorks Studios’ PR campaigns and working closely with Chip Sullivan and Marvin Levy on DreamWorks Studios titles.
