Oscilloscope signs digital deal with Warner Bros

Oscilloscope Laboratories has signed an exclusive deal with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution to offer O-Scope films on VOD, downloads to own across platforms including cable, wireless, satellite and digital.

Oscilloscope’s films will debut on these platforms when each film ends its theatrical run, and in some cases, day-and-date with theatrical launches.

Oscilloscope Head Adam Yauch said “We went out to breakfast with these cats, had a good time hanging out shooting the sh-t… so I said - what the hell, they seem like they know what they’re doing. Let’s do this.”

The pact kicked off with Kelly Reichardt’s Wendy And Lucy, which was released May 5 on DVD and also on VOD and digital platforms. It was carried by platforms including Comcast, Time Warner Cable, iTunes and Amazon Video On Demand.

Forthcoming titles that will be launched in VOD/download this summer are The Garden; Scott Walker: 30 Century Man; Treeless Mountain; Frontrunners; and Dear Zachary: A Letter To A Son About His Father.

Beastie Boy Adam Yauch launched Oscilloscope in 2008. In addition to the above titles, its slate also includes
Unmistaken Child, No Impact Man, Burma VJ, and The Thorn In The Heart.
