Leading Spanish producers Tornasol Films are once again uniting with Argentina’s Haddock Films on a new thriller titled Everyone Has A Plan, following their collaboration on the Oscar winning drama The Secret In Their Eyes.

Argentinian newcomer Ana Piterbarg will write and direct the film, which has already picked up the Julio Alejandro screenplay award. Piterbarg was previously assistant director on the award winning Argentinian films Goodbye Dear Moon and The Magic Gloves.

“We plan to shoot exteriors for Everyone Has A Plan in Argentina (including the capital Buenos Aires) and interiors in Spain (possibly Ciudad De La Luz studios in Alicante) from next March,” Mariela Besuviesvky of Tornasol Films told ScreenDaily at the annual Madrid De Cine event, which promotes new Spanish projects to the international market.

The producers are looking for an A-list actor to play the lead role. Full details on the plot and cast are expected to be announced soon.

Tornasol Films and Haddock Films are also co-producing No Return, about a man accused of a crime he didn’t commit, which is in production with Miguel Cohan directing and Leonardo Sbaraglia leading the cast.

Previously the two companies also co-produced Juan Jose Campanella’s hugely popular thriller The Secret In Their Eyes, starring Ricardo Darin, which took $8m in Spain through Alta Films last year, sold to most territories, including Sony Classics for the US, and then took the foreign-language Oscar earlier this year.
