Nolan's Inception starts shoot across five countries

Warner Bros has started production on Christopher Nolan’s Inception, which started shooting in the UK on July 13.

Principal photography will continue on three continents — with shoots planned for Paris, Tangiers, Calgary and Los Angeles.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars with Michael Caine, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and Tom Berenger.

The film is described as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” Nolan also wrote the script and will produce Inception with his producing partner Emma Thomas.

The crew includes DoP Wally Pfister, production designer Guy Hendrix Dyas, editor Lee Smith, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, composer Hans Zimmer, special effects supervisor Chris Corbould and visual effects supervisor Paul Franklin. Many of the team also worked with Nolan on his last film, global megahit The Dark Knight.

Warner Bros, which also handled The Dark Knight, will handle worldwide distribute of Inception.
