British actor Martin Benson died has aged 91.

British film and television actor Martin Benson has died at his home in Buckinghamshire.

Well-known for his work on the British stage, television and as a film actor, Benson’s career spanned  from the mid-1940s through to 2005.

He is best known for his part as Kralahome, the King’s Vizier, in the 1956 film version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I.

Film roles included parts Ramos in the 1963 film Cleopatra and Mr Solo in James Bond film Goldfinger, while his TV credits included The Saint and Tales Of The Unexpected

He is survived by his widow Joy plus three daughters, a son, two step-daughters and one step-son.
