UK-based sales and production company One Eyed Films has added to its slate of Latin American offerings.

The company is on board for Pablo Larrain's Tony Manero, a Chile/Brazil/Argentina co-production that is still seeking one more partner from Ibero-America. The comedy is about a criminal in 1970s Chile who wants to become a Saturday Night Fever-style disco star.

One Eyed is also doing pre-sales for Oscar Campo's Others, a sci-fi thriller about a computer engineer who contracts a disease that creates replicas of himself. Delivery is scheduled in April.

'It is an extremely exciting time for Latin America,' One Eyed managing director Betina Goldman said. 'Films coming from these diverse cultures are reaching wider audiences, particularly through their embrace of popular genre styles such as thriller and horror yet with their own twist.'
