UK distributor Peccadillo Pictures has acquired all UK and Ireland distribution rights to Lucia Puenzo's XXY as well as home entertainment rights for Eric Lavaine's Poltergay.

XXY won the Cannes Critics' Week Grand Prix and Rail D'Or. Ines Efron and Martin Piroyansky star in the story of a young hermaphrodite who experiences prejudice in a new community in Uruguay. Peccadillo plans a summer release.

Poltergay, which will be released on DVD around Halloween, is about a young couple (Clovis Cornillac and Julie Depardieu) who discover ghosts of a decades-old gay disco in their house. The title will also be available for download on Peccadillo's new video on demand service at peccadillopod.com.

The distributor's other forthcoming releases include Transylvania starring Asia Argento and Birol Unel.
