Tyrannosaur starring Peter Mullan, Olivia Colman and Eddie Marsan will shoot in Leeds for four weeks.

Shooting is due to begin on Paddy Considine’s directorial feature debut Tyrannosaur starring Peter Mullan, Olivia Colman and Eddie Marsan on April 12.

Considine has also written the script for the film, about a violent man who is given a chance for redemption when he meets a charity shop worker, who has a secret of her own.

He previously wrote and directed the BAFTA winning short film Dog Altogether, as well as co-writing and starring in Shane Meadows’ 2004 film Dead Man’s Shoes.

Diarmid Scrimshaw is producing for Warp X, together with Inflammable Films.

The film is being backed by the UK Film Council, Film4, Screen Yorkshire, Optimum Releasing, EM Media, Madman and Nonstop Entertainment. International sales are being handled by Protagonist Pictures.

Shooting will take place in the UK city of Leeds for four weeks.
