EM Media has announced nine new digital media projects financed with the agency’s support from the East Midlands Development Agency (emda).

The financing amounts from the EMMI fund are:

 

AnDa Union

£50,000 for feature documentary about Mongolian musicians.

Eye4Films (Northampton), dir. Mark Tiley, prod. Tim Pearce.

 

The Brutal Game

£20,000 for development of feature film about lifelong friends whose relationship becomes turbulent when they are adults.

Made Up North (Derbyshire) wr: Chris Green, dir: David Blair, cast: Stephen Graham, Maxine Peake, Ian Hart, Nonso Anozie.

 

GangstaPets

£50,000 for Facebook application

ZinkyZonk (Nottinghamshire) - Steve Ellis and Dave Doak.

Natural Born Racer

£2,000 for pre-production development of online racing game.

V1 Championship Ltd (Northamptonshire)

 

Oranges and Sunshine

£125,000 from EMMI fund and £25,000 in development with UKFC Lottery Funding for feature film about social worker who campaigned against forced migration of children.

Sixteen MIdlands. Dir: Jim Loach, Prod: Camilla Bray, Cast: Emily Watson, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham.

 

Over the Hill and Under Cover

£5,000 for development of animated children’s TV series.

PS, Your Mystery Sender

£6,000 for documentary short about a unique fan’s communication with designer Paul Smith.

Tyrannosaur

£125,000 from EMMI fund and £25,000 with UKFC Lottery Funds for feature film about a troubled man who starts a relationship with a woman who has a secret.

Inflammable Films Ltd (Nottingham). Wr/Dir: Paddy Considine. Prod: Diarmid Scrimshaw. Cast: Peter Mullan, Olivia Colman, Eddie Marsan.

 

The Weekender

£44,000 from EMMI fund and £10,750 from UKFC Lottery funds for development of feature film about two gay men who have a complicated one-night stand.

Glendale Picture Company (Nottingham), Wr/Dir: Andrew Haigh, Prod: Tristan Goligher.

 

A tenth project will be announced soon.
