TF1 International has announced its Cannes line-up including world premiere screenings, new titles and the first images of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Micmacs

Micmacs, announced in Cannes last year, stars Dany Boon, Andre Dussollier, Julie Ferrier, Nicolas Marie, Dominique Pinon and Yolande Moreau among others in the story of a man who comes up with an intricate and original plan to destroy two big weapons manufacturers.

TF1 will screen a seven minute promo reel of the Warner Bros. France release, which is scheduled to go out on October 28 in France.

Among TF1’s new titles are Trader Games and Fatso. The former is from director Fabrice Genestal and stars Gilles Lellouche, Vahina Giocante, Michael Madsen and Charles Berling. In the film, a hot young Wall Street trader comes up with a scheme to play the market based on climate fluctuations.

Fatso, which has already found success at the Norwegian box office, is an offbeat comedy from director Arild Frohlich. Starring Nils Jorgen Kaalstad and Josefin Liungman, the satirical work tells the story of a 30-year-old who lives alone in his grandmother’s old flat on a steady diet of internet porn. When his father rents out one of the bedrooms to a gorgeous and hip 19-year-old Swedish girl, his life turns upside down.

TF1 will also premiere two films in the market: In Their Sleep and Alternate Weeks And Half The Vacation. The first is from directors Caroline and Eric Du Potet and stars Anne Parillaud as a vulnerable woman who protects a young man who she believes is being chased by a homicidal maniac.

Alternate Weeks, from director Ivan Calberac, stars Mathilde Seigner, Bernard Campan and Gregori Derangere. The dramatic comedy is about the upheaval caused in a little girl’s life when her parents decide to divorce.
