The Russian filmmaker will be garlanded with the International Filmmaker Of The Year Award, as part of CinemaCon’s International Day.

Bekmambetov directed Wanted as well as the smash Russian Night Watch series. He is currently directing and producing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which is scheduled to open in summer 2012.

CinemaCon is scheduled to run from Apr 23-26 in Las Vegas.
