She will join the international distribution and production company’s UK office from Hanway Films.
E1 Entertainment UK has appointed Charlotte Thorp to the newly created role of head of TV Sales and Business Development.
She joins from Hanway Films, where she was director of worldwide sales and distribution – Broadcast, DVD & New Media. Previously she held the post of director of international program sales at MTV Networks.
Thorp’s remit at E1 will be to expand the company’s growing film slate within the broadcast arena, and to develop new revenue streams for E1 Entertainment in the UK.
Head of E1 Film, Alex Hamilton said : “ Charlotte’s strong, front-facing TV experience and entrepreneurial abilities should prove invaluable as we expand the range and depth of our film offer in the UK.”
Thorp added “E1 is an extremely exciting growing organisation with a successful track record in entertainment. I am delighted to join E1 at such an important time in their UK expansion and I look forward to helping them offer their product to wider audiences in the future.”
