BBC Creative Director will be a non-executive director.

BBC Creative Director Alan Yentob is joining the board of BBC Studios and Post Production Limited as a non-executive director.

The company is a commercial subsidiary (formed in 1998) of the BBC that offers studios, post production and digital media services to the media industry. In 2011, it worked with more than 250 media companies and other customers.

Based at London’s Television Centre, Elstree and Bristol, the company works with media companies to create content not just for the BBC, but for other broadcasters including ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and Sky. 

Yentob said: “I am delighted to be joining the BBC Studios and Post Production Board as it continues to build on recent strong performance. I look forward to working with colleagues on the Board to further develop a successful business model for the future.”

John Tate, the Chairman of BBC Studios and Post Production added: “I am delighted that Alan is joining the BBC Studios and Post Production Board. He brings a wealth of experience from the UK creative sector, and I’m very much looking forward to working with him and building a strong future for the business.”

Yentob, also Chairman of BBC Films, is also chairman of children’s charity Kids Company.
